JOHN GRAP
Last year Doug Allen, Kevin Hare, and I judged photos for a contest of the Kalamazoo River watershed sponsored by the Battle Creek Clean Water Partners.
The winning photo by Richard Burkart was submitted to the national U.S. EPA's contest and his photo was one of 10 photos selected out of 248 entries in the "Enjoying the Environment" category.
To see Richard's photo and to cast your vote visit the contest website. You will need to open a Flickr account to score finalists because only Flickr members can leave comments. You can open an account quickly and easily.
The partners are the City of Battle Creek, the City of Springfield, Calhoun County Road Commission, the Calhoun County Drain Commissioner, the townships of Bedford, Emmett, Leroy, Newton, and Pennfield, Battle Creek and Lakeview schools joining together with the common goal of protecting the waterways in our area.
