State stays close in a sloppy game. They grab the lead midway through the fourth quarter, but lose it late as PSU drives 76 yards to score the winner with 3:16 to go. State moves the ball very late, but a deflected pass seals the deal in a 23-17 loss.

MSU-play of the year..........The Great Adam Decker DECKING All American Green on a crucial play,in the iowa game.
Adam,I think I can say,you are the player-loved this season. There is one little thing-can I-we get a repeat. There were many great plays this season so you had big time competition, but that was a team statement tackle(all players on 'D' were there with you,and yet I'm sure proud of you).Allison may be called on whoever-just seek opportunitys-they will be there!
I ask you Mr. Decker and the whole defense to SPARTAN-UP and seek opportunitys from what you know psu is going to do.Defense is going to win this game,of course with whole team play-especially SPECIAL TEAMS.
The crowd noise is going to be CRAZY-WILD all looking for the smallest battle victory-hoping that can build to winning the WAR.Our objective (sky walkers)is to turn our DEFENSE into an OFFENSE in that when the ball goes into the air-it belongs to who can TAKE it.
Don't worry about anything-this is what every player has worked hard for all season. Some doubted you would be here and would have been happy for another 7-5 season, thank goodness you guys felt you could do what you have done.
There will be ABSOLUTELY no breaks for the GREEN and WHITE in this game.We don't need the awe shucks attitude-get with your team mates-talk about what to look out for and keep your mind completrely in the game.Expect to get an opportunity at a fumble recovery;a tipped ball;a team mate loosing the ball-whatever-play every second, and you will be fine.
One more thing our OFFENSIVE line is asked to do the impossible-obtain and maintain clear legal contact to success. This is an awesome team-this is where you earn your "S" as a team.Block and take your guy where you can- all running backs time for saucer sized eyes and cut off the block and cut back against the grain might be open,if you can trick angle a linebacker and cut be hind him instead of trying to out flank him(if you can).
This is exciting stuff here-stay close as a team and cover each others back in full speed. You win this game for your coaching staff-they deserve this, and don't for get Stsnton and many a former Spartan will be pulling for you from all over!!!!!!!
POST-POINT:receivers be ready-this is the MOST important catchs you will make this season-even more so than a BOWL game!

Well said Sparty forever. I am hoping for toe-to-toe smash-mouth football. It's going to be a very Green-and-White day. As Ben Brenshaw said, "I got a good feeling about this." See everyone at the Florida Bowl Game.
