Football Recruiting News!

Great news here!  It's only March 5 and we appear to be on the road to another rock-solid recruiting class for 2011.  Lawrence Thomas of Detroit Renaissance, apparently the best in the state -- a four- or maybe five-star linebacker -- just committed to Dantonio!  There seems to be a lot of respect and enthusiasm too for our first commit, Onaje Miller, "athlete" recruit from Lansing Sexton. And, in Rivals I see a lot of promising football recruits with MSU on their preliminary short lists. 

Thus, it seems the bumps in the road for the Spartan football team last November have been overcome on the recruiting trail to this point.  And, I'm really glad to see quality recruits come on early who can help the process as Maxwell and Bullough have done in the past two years.  Who else do you find back in MI and surrounding states who might be looking like Spartans or on whom you might have the skinny talent-wise, and would love to have on campus for four years? 

Secondly, how awesome is it that the Spartan Women took down um for the third time this year at the Big Ten tourney today.  Way to go!
