An offseason of injury continues for MSU basketball, with Korie Lucious undergoing successful arthroscopic surgery Tuesday for a small meniscus tear in his left knee. His timetable for a return is set at two to six weeks. Midnight Madness is two weeks from Friday and the season opener is six weeks from Friday, Nov. 12 vs. Eastern Michigan.
On the way back, anyway. As detailed here, Dantonio came to MSU's presser today and expects to be in the coaching box for Saturday's game against Wisconsin.
For the fourth time in four weeks, an MSU player has received a weekly Big Ten honor. This time it's Greg Jones, sharing Defensive Player of the Week for his two-pick afternoon against Northern Colorado.
In East Lansing, nothing much to report from Don Treadwell's quick Sunday night session. Mark Dantonio remains "day to day," Treadwell said, and we'll find out about his level of involvement for the Wisconsin game after he meets with doctors early in the week.
How about Austin Peay vs. Northern Colorado? At least we can forget about this day and not speak of it again and watch MSU and Wisconsin play in a week in an actual football game.
