Supremes post salaries
The Michigan Supreme Court became the latest sector of state government to post its salaries online.
The list is quite difficult to navigate, despite being posted in .pdf format. Salary ranges for each of the 19 different employee classifications are listed, along with the name of the positions.
But unlike with the Michigan Senate list, which listed unique job titles so one could easily figure out who fit with each position, or the LSJ database, which displays names next to positions and salaries, the Court list groups titles together.
For example, each Michigan Supreme Court commissioner makes between $76,838 and $102,208. The seventeen commissioners combined make $1,715,438. Beyond that, it's guesswork.

I posted something similar under the Senate story, but figured it bears repeating here. Kudos to the Supreme Court and the Senate for releasing Salary information in a way that satisfies the need for transparency and government disclosure without setting up their employees for identity theft. I'm sure the LSJ will push them to give you their names, I hope they fight you all the way to the Supreme Court (kinda seems like you'd lose doesn't it, since the Court says you don't need it?).
It is NOT easy to figure out who is who from the Senate, unless you happen to have up to date copies of employee listings, with accurate titles, etc. These two fine agencies have proven that names are not necessary for a Michigan Taxpayer to see what our public employees are paid.

Why don't you post everyones salaries, names, etc. as you did with state employees? Did you ever stop to think that some of these state employees may have to worry now because of their jobs and the retaliation from criminals? No? you just don't care! Corrections and State Police might. I like the way someone posted all the private info about your editor. Bet he didn't care for that, huh?
