Michigan seated 69-59

Hillary Clinton picked up a 10-delegate edge out of Michigan, the Democratic National Committee's Rules and Bylaws Committee ruled, though delegates only get a half-vote each.

I'm not going to get into most of the stuff behind the decision, though I'm on pins and needles waiting to see what the fallout is. But you should definitely check out this exchange between Carl Levin and Clinton adviser Harold Ickies from the day's meeting. Sums the whole thing up.

It's important to remember that the result for Michigan and Florida, which also got half-seated, was the same thing that happened under the Republican rules for both states moving their primaries forward.

At the end of the day, Barack Obama still leads Clinton by about 175 delegates, according to CNN.

And while Obama is almost assured to have more delegates come the morning of June 4, we will have to wait and see how this all ends.

Oh, and Obama quit Trinity

Yes, nestled at the end of this blog (and in the middle of a massive news day), is the news that Obama and his family have pulled their membership at Trinity United Church of Christ in Chicago, former home to the Rev. Jeremiah Wright.

The decision comes after more inflammatory comments from the pulpit, these by a guest preacher, and on the day when the news is most likely to get buried.

My wife asked me a very good question as we listen to obama! If he wasn't running for the position would he still belong to the church where he has belonged for twenty years? He admits that his family and friends go to the church! How can you go to a place for twenty years and listen to the hate and hang around people who support it and subject your children to it! They say TV and vidios are an issue! If your parents, the family, and the friends all support the same views for life time there's an issue! This guy is racest there's no two ways about it! He just got caught that's all!

New rule: if you can't spell "racist," you're not allowed to levy that charge.

question, how can a person with mixed parentage be a racist? Secondly. most preachers go overboard on things they are passionate about. At least he wasn't teaching the end is near, or how to handle snakes.
