The end.
This is my last-ever Capitol Journal post, and while I was planning to do something more elaborate I think I'll keep this final entry short and sweet. Thank you all for reading these past two years. It has been a joy writing for you each day.
All the best,
-Derek

More like short and bittersweet.
Derek, good luck and best wishes as the future unfolds.

Derek,
Mid-Michiganders will miss this blog. Your reporting is always fair and balanced with very little, if any, 'spin', and you've earned our trust. Where will we turn for such astute commentary from now on?

By the way, the only 'spin' I've ever detected is your dedication to excellence in reporting.
We wish YOU 'all the best'.

What I want to know is why all the good reporters are leaving and we're going to be left with JS's spin on life....
