Last June we lost one of the greatest musical artists that ever lived! You may have loved him or hated his eccentric ways but you can’t deny the music was and is AMAZING!
When it comes to his music it’s not just Black and White. This artist was the king of pop but was also a prince of passionate ballets! When it comes to his music, one of the favorites hands down is Thriller! I mean you just can’t Beat It! Every time I hear it, it makes me want to Scream! OK if you’re a fan of Michael you know what I was doing there.
On Saturday Oct 23rd we give honor to this incredible song and the artist who made it famous! “Thrill the World” is a free event in the international effort to break the World Record for the Largest Simultaneous Dance.
You don’t have to know how to dance beforehand all you have to do is show up, listen, learn and have a ball! You don’t even have to travel far, it’s just up the street from almost anywhere in Lansing. This year the event will be held on the corner of Jolly and Cedar in the plaza at 5140.
Can it get better than that? Yes, this event is being put on by the Jaycee's and this year they are able to hold the record breaking attempt right next to their Monster Mayhem haunted house!
So what do you have to do???? Get in your car and head toward the event and then arrive and learn the dance and be part of history! Do you want to make the outing even more memorable? Dress like a zombie and bring a non perishable item of food for the food bank and you can receive a special scare package. Its Halloween time, you don’t get care packages you get SCARE packages. When all the dancing is done, take a trip through the haunted house and see if you’re bad enough to make it through.
