Military help.

At-Risk-Youth
How do we help to instill a sense of pride into the at-risk youth today?

There are programs out there that are designed to help at-risk youth. One of the leading problems we have today is kids that have had a very tough upbringing and turn to crime and such instead of things that are beneficial to them or society. 0380e150
Young Marines is a program designed to be a helping hand for those youth that need to sharpen their skills to be more successful. By helping these youth to find value in themselves, they start to have pride in the community around them.  Ymjan2

Physical training and discipline is the cornerstone to motivating these young adults to make the change.   Large_0208574_2

Both programs and many others can help to make a big difference in these kids’ lives but they need your help to stay open. Funding is being cut from these types of facilities at a rate that’s just as alarming as the rising amount of crime found in the cities of the youth that haven’t been reached are bringing down. They need your help to help the youth. N1117081239_30400288_6499498

It’s a Happy Father’s day

Car 2

All Fathers that are true Fathers and Dads love spending time with their families on Father’s Day. But let’s be honest, it’s a day to honor them and to let them enjoy. So what are things that you may be able to take Dad to and let him enjoy while being around his precious family?

Carshow01 How about a car show or two? The Oldsmobile Homecoming Car Show & Swap Meet will start at 9 am on Saturday the State of Michigan General Office Building Parking Lot, corner of Canal & Billwood . It is an Oldsmobile only event however there will be vendors and the like there also. Car

Another local car show runs Saturday and Sunday starting at 10 am. The Capitol City Car Show at the Days Inn of Lansing, 7711 W. Saginaw Road. Fun for all ages with tug of war, arm wrestling, treasure hunt, 50/50, and kid's inflatable jump around.

Car show Or you can do a day at the zoo and souped up cars too! Volks Folks at the Zoo is exactly that. A day of cool cars and cuddly creatures. This event also is on the 18th and starts at noon and runs till 4pm.

Whatever you do remember that Dad is special and even if it’s just spending time with his family that will make the day great!

Fairy good start.

Turner 4
It's summer and the kids want something to do.

Summer, the long awaited warm weather of the year and along with it more options for the kids. So now that the kids are out of school they need something to do besides put permanent dents in the sofa.

Fairy tales seem to be the in thing this year and the Turner Dodge House Turner is a great place to start. June 13th through 15th they will be hosting Fairy Tale Camp. Besides fairy tales, there will also be games and projects for kids from ages 5 to 10.

Turner 2 Looking for more fairy tale? Stormfield Theatre Drama Camp Fractured Fairy Tale Series is a great work shop for the up and coming little actor/actress. Turner 3
For kids ages 9-12 this camp will be run by two theatrical professionals and there will be games and exercise.

There's lots to do this summer and this is just the beginning. Have a fairy good time.
