Military help.
How do we help to instill a sense of pride into the at-risk youth today?
There are programs out there that are designed to help at-risk youth. One of the leading problems we have today is kids that have had a very tough upbringing and turn to crime and such instead of things that are beneficial to them or society.
Young Marines is a program designed to be a helping hand for those youth that need to sharpen their skills to be more successful. By helping these youth to find value in themselves, they start to have pride in the community around them.
The Michigan Youth Challenge is a 22 week residential program that is geared toward challenging and changing the mind set of at-risk youth.
Physical training and discipline is the cornerstone to motivating these young adults to make the change.
Both programs and many others can help to make a big difference in these kids’ lives but they need your help to stay open. Donations of not only money but of time can be given to these programs and they need it! Funding is being cut from these types of facilities at a rate that’s just as alarming as the rising amount of crime found in the cities of the youth that haven’t been reached are bringing down. They need your help to help the youth.
