What to do with the new?

    • The presents are all unwrapped and the happiness is spread as thick as the cheer. But now the focus is on the coming New Year.

Many people have plans of self improvement for the upcoming year. Plans to give more, take less and lose weight. I encourage people to go a step farther. Think of what we could accomplish if we all worked together as people not only of the great city of Lansing but also the amazing state of Michigan? And not just the great state of Michigan but the incredible United States of America?

What does all this mean? What am I trying to get at? We have this wonderful gift of beautiful planet, incredible country, awesome state and incredible city! We could do so much to honor it and make it better!  Mich'

No doubt you have heard disturbing things recently happening here in Lansing. What can we do as a community to make things better? Maybe we report bad stuff more? Maybe we volunteer to help less fortunate more? Maybe we educate more? I don’t know what the recipe for successes is but I do know that the more we try, the more we help, the better it will get!

Don’t let another year go by without making a difference.
      I won’t! Time

      HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Seasons greetings.

The holidays are fast approaching. People are busy getting ready for the times to not only exchange gifts but reunite with loved ones that they may not have seen in a while.

Most of the holidays around this time are focused on giving and reflecting. Looking at not only the things to be thankful for, but for the people as well.  Kwanzaa

Lansing is decked out in tons of Christmas lights as well as lights for Kwanzaa and Hanukkah. The beauty of the seasons is not in the decorations but in how you decorate your heart.

I look forward to seeing all the love being shared in not only Lansing, MI but all over the world and not just this holiday season but for seasons to come. Chanukah

Blessings and well wishes to you all! Happy Holidays!
