Six more mid-Michigan athletes have picked where they'll continue competing next season.
Track
Haslett high jumper Brad James has signed with Michigan, while T.J.
Flagg has signed with Central Michigan and Tucker Heiler will run at
Lansing Community College. James has the area's top high and long jumps
so far this spring, while Flagg has the best time in the 800 and Heiler
is also a strong middle distance runner.
Soccer
Dansville's Krista Mashak will play at Division II New Mexico
Highlands. She made the State Journal all-area Dream Team as a junior
and scored at least 30 goals in each of her first three seasons.
Football
East Lansing's Wes Dolen and Brian Spencer will both play at Albion College. Both were all area last season, Dolen as a linebacker and Spencer as a defensive back. Haslett's Wes Sherman will also play at Albion after earning all-area honorable mention as a linebacker.
***Also, DeWitt junior lineman Paul Jorgensen is up to eight offers with Western Michigan coming in this week. Indiana and Illinois are also interested now, and Florida is heading up for a visit in May.
