It's a play on words, but Okemos could finish rewriting the Waverly Relays girls record book at tonight's annual meet.
According to some info sent in by a valuable source, the Chieftains own five of nine records so far. And every swimmer/diver who scored for last season's seventh-place Division 2 state finisher is back this fall.
Those yet to be broken by Okemos are the 200 butterfly relay (1982, East Lansing) and the 400 freestyle and 200 backstroke relays (both 2000, Holt). Okemos is also going for the diving relay record, set in 1985.
Tonight's finals begin at roughly 6 p.m.
