Ovid-Elsie's star running back has gotten academic approval from the NCAA Clearinghouse and could be a late add to someone's recruiting list with signing day a week away.
Robinson visited Central Michigan last week and appears to have an interested coach in new CMU leader Dan Enos. Robinson has looked for two years like a possibility at that level as either a running back or safety. We'll find out in the next week if any Division I schools take that chance. His character and citizenship make him an even easier sell.
Robinson has said he wants to stay in-state, so that limited the pool of Division I programs after a large group initially was interested. But if CMU or others don't pan out, most of the state's top Division II programs have offered scholarships.
