East Lansing senior Klarissa Bell is one of five total and three Michigan State recruits who are up for this season’s Michigan high school Miss Basketball Award.
She is among area leaders with 19.9 points, 7.7 rebounds, four assists, 3.6 steals and a blocked shot per game and is in her fourth season as a starter. The Trojans are 19-1 this winter.
She’s joined by MSU recruits Madison Williams of Detroit Country Day and Annalise Pickrel of Grand Rapids Catholic, Grosse Pointe North’s Ariel Braker (Notre Dame) and Detroit Renaissance’s Lorreal Jones (St. Louis).
The award is voted on be members of the Basketball Coaches Association of Michigan. The winner is recognized during the week of the state finals.
