Football practice kicks off Aug. 9 and everything else starts a few days later. As we head into the 2010-11 school year, please chime in on anything you'd like to see show up on this blog during this next school year.
We've tried a few things since "Get Prepped" debuted Oct. 26, 2006. Some regular features have become pretty popular -- the "Final Buzzer" and "Extra Points" reports analyzing the night's action on football and basketball game days. We presented All-Decade candidates a year ago that we're now printing every Monday, and of course there is always room for the occasional breaking news bit or opinion on the news of the day.
I've also tried "Where are they now" and "Athletes of the Weekend" regular posts to much less response -- although I'll likely re-visit something like the latter for Mondays starting this fall.
Bottom line, I'd like to hear from you on what you like or don't or would like to see. This fall, Fridays will still belong to "Extra Points" but the rest of the week is wide open.
Also, if you're part of the Twitterverse, make sure to follow us at @lsj_hssports. A lot of "tweets" are links to this blog, but I'll also post newsy bits as I get them, and retweet things of note from other media sources around the state. We're up to 114 followers there and I think it will be the place to be for in-game football scores this time next month.
