Nearly 50 events dotted Thursday's area sports schedule. More than a few were intriguing. Here are headliners from four of the best. 

4. Fulton volleyball junior Taylor Friesen: Had 14 kills in the Pirates' four-set win over Dansville that pushed Fulton to 16-6. 

3. Holt soccer junior Jake McCreery: Scored both goals as the Rams downed Eastern 2-1. 

2. Eaton Rapids soccer senior Ryan Tomlinson: Scored two goals as the Greyhounds hung on against CAAC White contender Williamston 3-2. 

1. Okemos swimming sophomore Katie Dudley: Won both the 100-yard butterfly and freestyle and swam on two first-place relays as the Chieftains edged St. Johns 96-92.
