The media picked Greg Jones as the Big Ten's Defensive Player of the Year, while the coaches went with Penn State DT Jared Odrick -- who didn't even make first team All-Big Ten in the media voting!

Tom Izzo tied Jud Heathcote's MSU record with 340 wins, then hopped on a plane to join Jud at his hall of fame induction. The Valpo game was originally scheduled at 4 p.m., but Izzo convinced the Big Ten Network to move it up to noon so he could get to Kansas City.

A few things I'm fairly certain in saying:
This was a disappointing season for MSU football. MSU's defense is the main reason why, but the offense was the primary culprit Saturday. Mark Dantonio will be the head coach for a long time and will have better teams than this one in 2010 and 2011. And MSU will not be playing in the Little Caesars Pizza Bowl in Detroit.

The good: Chris Allen tops the list. Shooting without hesitation and hitting shots. That's the best thing MSU takes from this game, in my opinion.
