Mascot madness
We've been getting hounded by people hoping to get the word out on another mascot competition involving Sparty.
Apparently, he's in a regional final against Wyoming's cowboy (whatever his name is) in this particular showdown. Fans can vote until Friday. Here's the Web address if you care to vote:

I knew Larry at State and remember him being a great Sparty. I think he may have been Sparty when I hit my halfcourt shot at the MSU - ILL game in 1995 (starting a trend of three straight guys who did so). He went nuts as I ran around crazily and threatened to jump the old press table (right over Gus and Will) to get to my front row buddies!

Hmm... maybe we should let those little cow-pokes out in Why-o-ming win? They're now flat out accusing MSU voters of setting up a laptop that auto-votes non-stop for Sparty (latest vote has Sparty leading by a substantial margin)Um, I think these Wyom-ites have too much time on their hands, if the whole State is involved in trying to win this CBS mascot thang...

I think the big sky is getting to them.
Which even has a higher population, MSU or their whole state? I don't think the pronghorns can vote.
