Cleaves update
Mateen Cleaves is making another big push at carving out a niche in the NBA.
Cleaves has worked out recently for Miami and Denver, and he'll play for Minnesota's summer league team in Las Vegas. He said this week that he's in the best physical condition since leaving MSU, and Tom Izzo said the same thing after Cleaves stopped in EL to help with Izzo's camp.
"I mean, he looks great," Izzo said.
"I'm feeling healthy," said Cleaves, who has been plagued by foot problems since leaving MSU in 2000. "A lot of teams are telling me that I look like a different player. I have no doubt I can help someone."
Stay tuned, I'll try to keep tabs on his summer league performance.

Good to hear -- thanks for the update, Joe.

Anyone have any inside news on Draymond Green. I read he will be announcing tommorrow if he is going to state, scum, or indiana? I'm feeling like he will be coming to state, if not we will grab another top big man in the class of 2008!

i think draymond will go to scum. His parents are really high on michigan and i dont think he has what it takes to play for MSU. He would b a great addition for MSU but i just dont see him choosing us.

Here's the thing:
IF you want to go to an Elite basketball school, play for a national title winning coach, play against world-class competition, and have world-class facilities at your disposal, you go to MSU.
IF NOT, you go to SCUM. Would we really want someone playing for MSU who would honestly consider option 2?

If the above is true... what's that say about football players who choose MSU over Michigan?

I like JLS, as a person at least, but I had to laugh at the "my family is playing its butt off". I hope Mrs. Smith is indeed playing her butt off and is healthy :)

I believe the OSU halftime remark was "tails" rather than "butt" though. I think the old school coaches like Perles said "fanny" and the newer ones say "tail" (at least to the media). We all know what they say behind closed doors.
