SirDarean Adams not in lineup
MSU senior linebacker SirDarean Adams was "a late scratch," said MSU associate SID John Lewandowski, and he is not with the team in Iowa City.
Jeremy Ware also is not here, although that's no big surprise because he's only traveled for one road game this season. T.J. Williams, the third MSU player involved in criminal charges this week, is here, however. He's dressed and warming up.
So why no Adams? Lewandowski said: "All I know is he's not here." We'll have to find out from Mark Dantonio after the game. Redshirt freshman Eric Gordon likely will start in Adams' place.

These guy's have to grow up and face the real world. I don't think they should play. All this over a stupid cell phone and wallet. I get tired of the way the Universities image gets hurt during these matters. This doesn't happen with the hockey or basketball team.

SO SO SO SO SO SO BAD.
Hoyer should be benched and I'm done for the season. Just can't watch anymore, makes me sick. Ready for b-ball

I predicted after the OSU game these guys wouldn't win another game this year, and I now think that prediction is safe. Hoyer is horrible and the defense is one of the worst in college football. The next three teams will absolutely torch these guys. Sorry fellow Spartan fans but the scores will be ugly. Purdue, I predict, will score 60, Michigan will score 42 at least, and even PSU's offense will put up mid 30s on these guys.....

Hoyer is not Drew Stanton, however, if the wrs catch half the balls they dropped Hoyer's name is not mentioned. The defense is terrible. I understand these guys are not Dantonio's recruits but when a qb only completes 5 passes there is no secret what is coming. Still can't stop the run. Finally, atleast 45 yards in personal fouls. This is unacceptable. Players are never going to learn to fill their gaps and complete their assignments if they are not discipline. Today, MSU proved they are not a discipline team and that is embarrassing.

If this is a loss to Iowa-the
burden in on Senior Hoyer.I have
watched his play very carefully
and I am still a supporter(of him)
but he thinks too slow and he is
not leading. To his credit he has
taken off and ran a few times in-
stead of sitting back there and
loosing the ball (he almost did
a couple of times).
FOR ALL SPARTAN FANS:Take note--
we can not afford a pocket qb in
the big ten,or nation for that
matter,defences are too quick and
aggressive.
When your qb is slow in developing
a play he puts tremendous pressure
on his defence.Note-when on the
road and you are MSU:you are getting no ZERO breaks so silly
fouls will kill you,but it starts
when your qb is comfortable that
he will not be benched.NOW we can
see why,"I am a Dixon fan,"he does
not have the arm,but he can get out of the way, and its about
managing your team-using your tools. Hoyer held the ball so long
that he gave Iowa time to sniff out what he was trying to do.When
you don't realize a weak team will
figure you out if you think you
have time...
Half time adjustment we get FAIL.
How do you not realize this is a
wounded prideful team AT HOME!and
you are not prepared that they are
not going to figure something out.
One thing about MSU...we have for-
ever been a weak second half team-
RIDICUlOUS.
Defensively-we,all season, have
gotten 11 men bunched up on one
side of the field and some no name
RB is filing his finger nails as he runs for and easy TD.CONTAIN--
MENT any one heard of it????Good
teams keep a guy or two in his
area until he sees the play is
obviously going another way. Also
how do you let a guy run pass you
and get deep (robiske)on you????
Look I am MAD as hell, but I still
love every one of these SPARTANS
always will...A word to others who
feel they are SPARTANS (don't con-
cern yourselves with those who are
critical,frustrated,etc.)stay true
to your selves and let the coach's
know you are supporters and what
can we do to help...When you are
a true family (football) thru thick and thin--we will find a way
to WIN. Any one remember back in
the 70's we had an ACCOUNTANT pro-
fessor who was at every basketball
game and some time we would get
creamed but he was always smiling
cheering anything we did good in
any game.He led by example-stay
true to your selves-be who you are
and good things will happen.I THINK his last name was Adams, and
basketball at MSU mysteriously is
top notch...I'm sure most see no
connection,but a factory worker in
lansing,I'm sure stood and wanted
to be counted with Mr.Adams-that
man way MAGIC Johnsons dad and the
Spartan spirit rubbed off and the
rest is history.WE are going to be
representable (Nationally)again--
soon...Lets get ready and play our
first PERFECT game next week-you
know whats up!!!Go Spartans lets
create the "PERFECT"storm for ole
wolvy...Are we fighters or not?Do
not look to history to tell our
future, that was then this is now-
winners find ways--we go to the
drawing board,be totally critical
of ourselves and realize there is
a way to win...If Stanford can
beat USC,Appalachian state...well
what the h...are we second guessing ourselves about...solve
this qb problem,believe me-if he
does his job we can beat anyone!!!

I bleed Green as much as anyone, but the team has to do their job and earn their fan's followerhsip. Today was a freaking debacle.
Thankfully hoops is just around the corner. I will not burn anymore electricity watching the football team and I am glad that I didn't renew my season tix after 7 years.
