Hoyer signs with Patriots

It appeared on ESPN to be a very long day at Brian Hoyer's house, but things probably worked out better than if he would have gone late in the draft. New England, his preferred destination from the start, signed Hoyer tonight to a three-year deal, complete with an undisclosed signing bonus.

So ends a disappointing draft day for MSU's seniors, with just one selected. Michigan had two. Neither of them had anyone before the fourth round. EMU and WMU combined for the same amount. No idea what that means, just found it interesting.
Also interesting: Six Cincinnati Bearcats were drafted, five of whom who were recruited there by Mark Dantonio. Perhaps a sign of drafts to come for MSU.
