...that I plan to root hard against LeBron James for the rest of his career in light of this? Is that an overreaction? Do others feel the same way? Could he be more pathetic? Is there any chance some secret footage slipped out of the grasp of James' lapdogs?

Hailing from cleveland, I like lbj.
however, this is bull. He should have just dealt with it/ turned around and slammed back on that guy's face.
lol

LeBron is certainly looking more and more like a prima-dona. Especially after this and they we he acted after the series loss to Orlando. Personally I have never been a fan of his style of play and now it is hard to root for him as a person. It will be interesting to see Cleveland fans reaction and see if they defend this and then see their reaction after LeBron's big decision next year.

I once saw Cousins dunk a football over Bill Brasky on a 12-foot rim. Simply magical.

I've been kind of turned off to the guy since I first laid eyes on his giant 'Chosen One' Tattoo. I'm much more impressed by people with extraordinary talent who don't seem to have extraordinary egos.

Not sure this is that big of a deal. His display after the loss to Orlando is 100 times worse in my mind ...

Since I didn't see the film of the dunk (!), I don't know what LBJ did or didn't do. For all I know, he was being nice and making the kid's day.
Nike is squelching the video, not LeBron. It'd be a better statement to refuse to buy Nike products. Nike...Don't Do It.

I heard the guy jumped over Lebron like Vince Carter did to that French lady in the Olympics.

No big surprise. The "King's" personal life is less than exemplary either.

Don't fall for espn and their marketing ploys to push the NBA on us.

Lebron did initiate the recall of all the video tape via a nike rep. Lebron moaned and groan to a lackey for Nike and then that person went to everyone that may have video including a freelance journalist who was thier covering the event. my question is what right does Nike have to take away the tapes? and why hasnt that been brought up during the discussion. if i had snapped some video, lets say with my cell phone. and then some stat boy comes up the aisle and asks me for it i am telling him to get a court order while i upload to you tube. LBJ is still one of the best players in the NBA (just needs more around him to go all the way) but he needs to speak up about this thing and make a joke commercial out of it or something to redeem himself publicly.

I'm with rg and evil twin on this one Joe, go after Nike. Who cares about one guy named LeBron James when there's a huge corporation to hit?
Stick it to Nike, quit with the NBA, and just ignore James. James is only a product of the bigger fish there are to fry.

Personally, I think both are at fault but I would lean toward James as the root cause of the issue. I can't remember the last time I purchased any Nike product so they don't matter much to me anyway. Heck, I played hoops years ago and got beat more than once. One moves on and keeps playing.
