Good night, John-Boy
Your favorite Walton, Travis, is back in Tom Izzo's basement. And back with the Spartans for the rest of the season.
Walton has decided to finish his degree (he needs nine credits) and be a student assistant for MSU for the rest of the season. He was in practice today, causing havoc on the scout team, and that certainly means Kalin Lucas and Korie Lucious are going to have some interesting practices in the next few weeks.
Walton (who is getting his own apartment soon, he swears) still plans to head back to Europe next fall to play and make money. But he's still on scholarship for this, his fifth year out of high school, so he figured he should finish up -- and be ready to get right into coaching when his playing days are done. More on this Friday.
Also tonight, Draymond Green looked fine in practice on the right knee he "tweaked" against Michigan. He did wear a sleeve on the knee, after discarding a bulkier brace. Green says there's some slight pain, but his mobility is good.
