Lucas surgery successful

It went "very well" this morning according to Tom Izzo, who was eager to head to the hospital this afternoon and see Lucas. Lucas will have to travel separate from the team -- which is leaving Wednesday -- for Indianapolis, but he's expected to come with his parents at some point.

Izzo also said the same thing he said Monday about the Oregon job. No contact and he's focused on getting "a third crystal ball" for the university. Allen will practice sparingly this week, Roe little to none. And Izzo, like most people in the media who have seen Butler play, rejects the idea that the Bulldogs are a mid-major Cinderella team a la George Mason in 2006. He compared Shelvin Mack with Chauncey Billups. That's your super-fast presser recap.
