« Meet the Spartans | Main | Final Four week begins »

The facts

MSU has eight Final Fours in its history, six in the past 12 years, which is the best in the nation and previously matched only by North Carolina, UCLA and Duke.

Izzo's six Final Fours are third-most among active coaches. He trails Mike Krzyzewski (11) and Roy Williams (seven). Izzo and K are the only two coaches since the tournament expanded in 1985 to get to six in 12 years.

Raymar Morgan just passed Morris Peterson for 10th on the all-time MSU scoring list. Considering his past month and his winning free throw today, you think maybe he's rearranged his legacy a bit?

Durrell Summers is averaging 16.4 points in his past seven NCAA games. It's like watching two completely different people.

This has been another astounding run for Michigan State, and I am quite honestly exhausted and facing another huge week. So I have to cut this shorter than I'd like, but I'll be back with more during the drive back home Monday. Polynesian sauce in Indy, baby!
