Reece's new arena

Former MSU, NFL and AFL (that's Arena) fullback Travis Reece is embarking on a political career. Mayor Reece some day?

Meanwhile, Jeremy Ware has signed a deal with the Raiders, an indication of his performance at minicamps and of a strong chance to make the roster in August.

Back to former Spartans, the most prominent of them chimes in on LeBron and why it never would have happened when the NBA was good.

And let's not forget USC, which is finally showing some remorse with its newly hired AD and newly dispatched Heisman trophy. Too bad for the Trojans that these two guys never did anything but deny and dodge. And to quote:

"Every program is susceptible to agent or booster scandals because the NCAA’s rules demand that the wheels of capitalism stop so the Association can continue to avoid paying taxes under the ruse of amateurism. This isn’t new. Great players have been getting paid off for more than a century. Yet at SC, they claim this was news to them."
