The Dantonio plan

Let's set a record for posts in one day! Mark Dantonio is indeed home, and it's pure rest through the weekend for him. Then a meeting Monday or Tuesday with doctors, Mark Hollis just explained, to see where he stands for the Oct. 2 Wisconsin game.

"I try to plan for every contingency," Hollis said, and the various options for Wisconsin include Dantonio back and coaching on the sideline; or engaged in some way from the coaching box; or resting more at home and not actively involved. Obviously, the doctors will decide.

After that, it's MSU at Michigan on Oct. 9.  And let's be real. It "will take a few ropes to keep him away" from that one, Hollis said.
