Cunningham out with broken foot
Bad news for MSU football and junior receiver B.J. Cunningham, who will miss the Capital One Bowl with a broken foot.
Cunningham hurt the foot during Saturday's practice and had successful surgery the next day. He should be back for spring ball. That's two straight bowl game absences for him, after he was suspended (Rather) for last year's Alamo Bowl.
If there's an MSU position that can absorb a loss, it's receiver. Mark Dell, Keshawn Martin, Keith Nichol and Bennie Fowler still make up a nice quartet. But Cunningham and Kirk Cousins have special chemistry, especially it seems on third down and in the red zone.
