Two days off do Roe, Green well

Tom Izzo decided to give the Spartans Thursday off after Wednesday's mandated day off, and he had a pretty fresh team practicing (for this time of year, at least) on Friday. The biggest beneficiaries are Delvon Roe, Draymond Green and Kalin Lucas.

Lucas is coming off his second straight 39er. Green, as expected, is getting stronger after a stomach virus dogged him for several days. The most notable development was Delvon Roe, practicing and looking much better on the right knee that suffered a bone bruise two weeks ago.

"The injury is pretty much gone now," Roe said. "It went like expected, two weeks."

Obviously, MSU is going to need a quick-moving Roe on Sunday to check JaJuan Johnson.

Also tonight, Roe and Mike Kebler faced off in the Sixth Annual LSJ Quiz Bowl, but sorry -- the results are embargoed until Sunday morning. Try to contain your overwhelming need to know the final score until then. I can tell you this: Roe is now calling Kebler "Kebrakos" in honor of Tim Bograkos, the last walk-on to make this kind of impact at MSU.
