Wednesday smorgasboard

Bunch of stuff going on. Tom Izzo just said on Tim Staudt's radio show on WVFN 730-AM that he will take his time on the assistant coach search and look "inside the box and outside the box" for the right hire. Kalin Lucas will play in the college seniors all-star game, Friday in Houston at 5:30 p.m. on TruTV.

Here are more football notes, and there were a few more interesting tidbits from Tuesday. Edwin Baker wrote 2,000 and 21 on a piece of paper and stuck it on his wall. Those are his goals for 2011. Kirk Cousins said his shoulder and ankle are good, but he does have tendinitis in the knees. He called it an "overuse injury" and thinks it will be fine with more rest.

Here's another look at tonight's explosive HBO special from the Ohio State perspective. They've been busy down there.

UPDATE: This isn't quite confirmation that Matt Painter is leaving Purdue for Missouri, but it sounds like it's awfully close.
