Last chat this morning; Lloyd Carr tonight

Our final 10 a.m. Thursday chat of the sports year is here (just click here). And tonight at Eagle Eye, the former Michigan coach with more MSU ties than you may realize will receive the Duffy Daugherty Memorial Award.

If you want to go, there's still time. I'll have a report Friday from the ceremony, along with much more from my chat with Carr -- on Mark Dantonio, Brady Hoke, the rivalry, the media and the U-M football family.

On the hockey scene today, Neil Koepke looks at the Spartans-turned-Wings helping Detroit chase another Cup.

And back to football, here's more from the MSU spring draft. And here's the word on Corey Freeman.
