Monday morning, hot links

Served with a giant jug of Honolulu blue Kool-Aid. For someone who's had Lionfluenza since Billy Sims, this is quite a sight. And by the way, the Tigers are in the postseason. That's a lot of excitement for the people in this state, and now we get Big Ten football.

Are the Spartans ready? MSU did some good things against CMU, still needs to clean up special teams, got nice outings from the latest left tackle and a guy who showed why he's playing both ways. And the Spartans are defending. Stats may be for losers, but they're smiling on the Spartans right now.

As for the Buckeyes, they have a QB in freshman Braxton Miller, and we're about to find out a lot about him. It's already clear who he's targeting. OSU opens as 3-point faves. Two more Buckeyes to watch: Christian Bryant and Jordan Hall.

    Football season starts now.

But here's a question for those of you who care: If you had your choice between the Tigers winning the  World Series this year or the Lions winning the Super Bowl (that will be funny to write even if it ever happens), which would you choose?
