Quick recruiting update
Denny Schwarze caught up with Birmingham Brother Rice junior LB Jon Reschke today at the state finals in Detroit.
Here's what Denny emailed me:
Reschke helped lead the Warriors to a 24-14 win over Lowell and a state championship. Reschke finished with eight tackles in the victory against a high-powered Lowell offense. Reschke, who will most likely be one of the top recruits in the state for 2013, indicated that while he does have interests in other schools (Michigan, Notre Dame, Stanford and Oregon), he said Michigan State is "definitely my favorite" and commented that MSU coach Mark Dantonio and his staff have a "great program".
Reschke, who currently has offers from MSU and Toledo, will be at the Ohio State-Michigan game tomorrow and has been to MSU's campus two times this season. With Brother Rice playing games on Saturdays in Catholic League play as well as the state playoffs, it has been difficult for Reschke to consistently get up to MSU.
