Confirmed: Izzo lands Gary Harris
Chris Solari here. Denny Schwarze is confirming multiple internet reports that talented Indiana prep star Gary Harris has committed to Tom Izzo and Michigan State for the 2012-13 season.
Here's what Rexrode wrote (as we were simultaneously, unknowingly updating the blog):

Spartanmag.com, ESPN's Dave Telep, Scout and others are reporting tonight that Gary Harris has picked MSU. Telep vaults MSU's class to No. 3 in the nation and calls the Spartans his "big winners" of signing day.
This makes the 2012 class one of Izzo's best, in my opinion, with the high-flying scorer in Harris, the playmaking wing/point in Denzel Valentine, the athletic and aggressive big man in Matt Costello and the deep-shooting pick-and-pop guy in Kenny Kaminski.
I'd say more, but I have to board a plane in a minute. (Idiotic story alert). I missed my first flight from Chicago to San Diego because the flight from Moline was delayed by weather. I missed the second one when I was transcribing tape and apparently missed the announcement of a gate change. By the time I sprinted to the new gate, 12 minutes before departure, it was too late. I will not miss this one.
Also, I will not miss our weekly chat. It will be at 10 a.m. Eastern on Thursday as usual, right before I join the rest of the media who will spend the day on the USS Carl Vinson. I may be waking up right as the chat begins, so consider this your reminder!
Gary Harris, the Carrier Classic, a game against Duke in MSG on Tuesday -- what a week for MSU basketball, eh?
