Another reminder that NOTHING is simple anymore …
Meg Elias of Okemos stopped at Rite Aid recently to buy some Valentine cards for her toddler to pass out to her friends.
She found a box with “little cartoon bunnies” on it. A note on the box indicated that the cards were appropriate for “age 3 plus,” but then Elias flipped it over and read it. It said:
“I like you even though you’re dumb.”
Elias informed the store manager, and even e-mailed a note to the company that distributes the cards.
Their defense: “The age recommendation was for safety, not for content.”
The moral of the story: Read ‘em before you buy ‘em.
