It’s possible — is it not? — that the robust-looking woman climbing out of a car taking up a handicapped-parking spot at Meijer has an invisible disability.
Are you willing to give her the benefit of the doubt?
Bh7j@aol.com called her e-mail “Handicap Cheaters,” and here’s part of what she wrote:
“Now that I can lift my left foot without help, I’m making little field trips by myself.
“When I go to the West Saginaw Meijer store and park just beyond the handicap spaces, I see people (probably on their way to work) pull into the handicap spots, speed into the store, rush around buying things, then rush out to their cars and zoom off.
“These people all seem to have the blue placard hanging from the rear view mirrors. There is handicapped license plate in the bunch.
“My guess is these are just color photocopies of someone else’s placards, and nobody is going to check them out at 8:30 in the morning.”
