I finally got a chance to watch the YouTube videos of Lansing Mayor Virg Bernero mixing it up with the UAW-bashing talking heads at Fox News, and I must say, “Bravo!”
True, he rattled on, causing one pundit to compare him to the Energizer Bunny.
True, he frequently sidestepped the questions to pontificate on the sanctity of the blue collar.
And, yes, he often sounded like a politician at a pig roast.
But, by God, he gave those silk-suited dilettantes a good tongue-lashing, along with a healthy dose of rust-belt populism.
He just may have a career.
