It’s crunch time. When next we meet, fellow bloglodytes, I’ll be an official father-in-law.
But the deck must yet be stained … a dead tree, removed … hospitality extended … shoes shined … the weather forecast whipped into shape.
I’m on furlough until June 30. Meanwhile, talk amongst yourselves. And be kind to each other. Civil, at least.

Blessings on your family and the entire wedding party.

John, congrats on your new familial title! :) Does it come with a raise? Probably just more outlays, eh?

Don't worry, it will all work
out even if everything is not 100%
perfect. This is just a moment in
time and when it is past there is
always the future to look forward
to.

Best wishes for the bride and groom, and for the newly united family. As you said to your readers, I offer the same advice to the two families now bound together: Be kind to each other. Civil, at least.

Was the wedding on 6/27? If so, you had a beautiful day for it. Congratulations to your whole family!

I look forward to reading your column every day. Our kids are about the same ages and even went through the Okemos Schools too. I like your writing style--its readable, truthful, and I am not afraid to have my kids and grandkids read it!! God Bless

Mr. Schneider,
My husband and I have read your column forever. We love it. I was sure I would read about Justins wedding in several columns, so what's up. My husband said to just go to your blog, but it is not the same. I want your words...
