Apparently there will be a football game in East Lansing Saturday, and Pat Letts of Ionia, God bless her, hopes all involved will treat each other with respect.
In a weekend e-mail to me Letts wrote: “I’m hoping you will write something about using good sportsmanship and conduct at the MSU-UM game this Saturday.
“I have often heard the word ‘hate’ being used in this rivalry. People can hate the devil, or Osama Bin Laden, but a football team?
“Win or lose, these players need to treat each other with civility and respect and so should the fans.
“Remember, we’re rivals, not enemies.”
