The THIRD NOTICE from Motor Trend magazine said:
“Dear John Schneider: We’re concerned. Several weeks ago we sent you an invoice for Motor Trend, but we still haven’t heard from you.”
Maybe that’s because … let’s see … (a) I have no interest in Motor Trend, (b) I never ordered the magazine, and never will.
These invoices have been coming to me at the State Journal. Others here are getting them as well. I received two copies of the magazine (on the same day), and passed them along to our auto writer.
Are these magazine pushes simply trolling blindly — hoping that these bills will fall into the hands of people who will assume they’re legit, and pay them?
Anybody else out there getting fake magazine invoices?
