Congratulations to Cooley Law School for making the Lansing Lugnuts’ home field its namesake.
But it’s sad, nonetheless, to the see the Oldsmobile name driven further into oblivion.
When I came to Lansing in 1977, it seemed that half the cars on local roads were Oldsmobiles — Cutlasses, in particular.
And remember when half the adult population, it seemed worked at “The Olds.”?
There’s no getting around the fact that an important part of Lansing’s heritage is quickly fading.
