As a life-long Catholic, I’m having more and more difficulty compartmentalizing my faith — separating my belief in the teachings of the church from my revulsion toward an institution that harbors pedophiles.
As I follow the continuing saga, I see a story of absolute power corrupting absolutely. I see hubris, self-protectionism at all costs, total disdain for the question: What would Jesus do?
How many of you Catholics out there are experiencing a similar struggle in these days approaching Easter Sunday?
And what do you non-Catholics make of the situation?
