I’m assuming that when the facts come out regarding Wednesday’s raid of the Green Leaf Smoker Club by the Tri-County Metro Narcotics Squad, surely we’ll learn of some hard-core drug action.
Surely the narcotics squad wouldn’t be wasting its time on a handful of pot smokers — legal, or not. And surely the raid wasn't merely an expression of the officers’ distaste for the medical-marijuana law. After all, there are real drug problems in the three counties — meth, crack, heroin, etc. Otherwise, why would we even have the Tri-County Metro Narcotics Squad? Right?
