Sherry Fisher took offense to reader Bill Bryde’s reference, in Monday’s column, to the singing motorcycle woman as a “motorcycle mama.”
Evidently that term is considered an extreme insult in the motorcycling-American culture.
Fisher wrote: “Many people make the same mistake (Bryde made) when he referred to the singing biker as a ‘motorcycle mama.' Unless things have changed over the years, a motorcycle mama is the property of a bike club and has to do anything and everything she is told to do.
“In other words (Bryde) called the singing biker a whore. Being a female and a Harley rider I have corrected many people about this.”
Hey, you motorcycle gangsters (just kidding) — is this true?
