I would have liked to quote this guy in my column, but he refused to let me use his last name …
Anyway, as I wrote in Saturday’s column, an 18-month old pit bull named Rocco took five bullets after he busted an invisible fence in Grand Ledge and went missing for five days.
About $5,000 worth of surgery will keep Rocco alive. Too bad, said some readers, including one named Eric, who wrote:
“The hero in this story seems to be the responsible citizen who attempted to protect the community from the lethal force of an unrestrained pit bull …”
“If you do print this, do not include my last name.”
What about it guys, should unrestrained pit bulls be shot on sight? German shepherds? Bulldogs? Poodles …?
