One reader called this one “insane”:
“The ramp from westbound M-43/Grand River Avenue to northbound U.S. 127 will be closed until May 20 as crews work to add an extra lane along U.S. 127 between Grand River Avenue and Lake Lansing Road.
“A detour directs drivers to use southbound U.S. 127 to Dunckel Road, to northbound U.S. 127.”
I recall one day last fall when the ramp to westbound I-96, from Okemos Road, was closed. The official detour directed drivers to take eastbound I-96 all the way to Williamston, then double back
