If anybody really did get sucked up to heaven Saturday, it surely wasn’t those people who add random charges to entertainment tickets.
Reader Dave Atherton wrote: “We purchased four tickets for Tim Wilson’s 8 p.m. show Saturday night at Connxtions Comedy Club.
“When I checked my credit card receipt, they tacked on $14 worth of ticket fees to a $60 charge.
“I called the box office when I got home and was told it was a special event and the ticket outlet and management require the $4.25 fee per ticket, regardless of how or when you purchase it.
“So, the $15 price, that was advertised was really $19.25.
“I don’t mind paying for things, I just want to know the price, the whole price and nothing but the price before I buy.
“Caveat emptor comedium. English translation: The joke’s on me.”
