Rumor has it that an Ingham County Animal Control guy was going door-to-door in Holt Tuesday night checking for dog licenses.
Absolutely true, says Animal Control Director Jamie McAloon Lampman, but nothing new. It’s been happening since 2005.
Lampman said scofflaws can buy a license on the spot, providing they have proof of rabies vaccination.
If not, they’re likely to get a “fix-it ticket” that will be negated if they come clean within 24 hours.
