I’m with Gov. Snyder on this one …
Up until a few years ago, I wore a tie to work every day. It was proof, after all, that I was a professional. Then one day, for some reason, I began to suspect that I could do my job without the noose.
And you know what? I was right. Tieless, I still got my work done.
The thing is, the less you wear a tie, the less you want to wear a tie. It’s a genie-out-of-the-bottle kind of thing.
I still wear them to weddings, funerals, and other formal affairs. But they really are a superfluous pain in the neck.
