It’s a fascinating glimpse, not only of the incident, itself, but of 1960’s journalism. Take, for example, this caption of a Lansing detective wearing a suit, aiming a 30.06 rifle at the doomed, terrified Rajje: “Police Open Fire on Crazed Beast.”
